Comfort Colors

Barry Chouinard started Comfort Colors in 1975 in Vermont. The company built a name as manufacturers and dyers of long-lasting, comfortable active wear in a time before computers were available to calculate dye strengths and formulas. An eye for detail made Chouinard's Comfort Colors team some of the best at creating consistently dyed fabrics in a variety of hues. They created a product in the 70s and 80s using slide-rule calculations and some manual dying processes.
